Enterprising New Parents – Get Creative with Rosa

Along with Creative Learning Aberdeen, we’ve launched an exciting new project for unemployed Aberdeen parents and carers with little tots.

Artist Rosa Eisenberg will lead Enterprising New Parents, giving mums, dads, and carers the chance to gain some first hand creative learning experience, build their skills, take a step closer to employment- or self-employment and create a very precious keepsake for their child.

Here’s a few words from Rosa:

I am a visual artist and illustrator based in Aberdeen. I mainly work in mixed media – I love watercolours, coloured pencil and collage work and I am very interested in visual storytelling.

I enjoy working in a sketchbook and drawing from life out and about, wherever I go. I think there’s always something to capture, whether I’m on the bus or on a walk in nature, and then combine observational drawings with my imagination.

I previously studied the history of art, with my focus being on the therapeutic benefits of art.

I have worked in health and social care for the past 12 years and I strongly believe that the arts can help people to feel included and improve their wellbeing.

I run various workshops in the city for members of the public and for social care organisations on topics like sketching, watercolour painting and creative writing. I am currently working on an illustrated cookbook with a charity in the city.
