What is PACE?
Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) is the Scottish Government’s initiative dedicated to supporting people and businesses through redundancy. PACE brings together 24 organisations to offer free, confidential, and impartial advice, helping you manage the emotional and practical challenges that come with job loss or even by being under threat of redundancy.

What Does PACE Offer?
PACE aims to minimise the time people spend out of work after redundancy. Their support covers five key areas:
• Understanding the redundancy process: Know your rights and entitlements.
• Money matters: Get advice on benefits, pensions, and financial planning.
• Practical job search advice: Find guidance on CVs, applications, and interviews.
• Career guidance: Discover learning, training, and funding opportunities to help you upskill or change direction.
• Business start-up and self-employment: Explore options for starting your own business or working for yourself.
Who Delivers PACE Support?
PACE is led by Skills Development Scotland, working in partnership with agencies like local authorities, the Department for Work and Pensions, the Money and Pensions Service, and Business Gateway and others means that you get access to a wide range of expertise and resources, all designed to help you take positive steps towards your future.

What Does ABZWorks Do With PACE?
As a key PACE partner, Aberdeen City Council, through its ABZWorks Service, provides access to employability keyworker support and funded training opportunities. We work closely with the local PACE team to support people back into work as quickly as possible.
